We were all pretty sure that part of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire would be shot in Hawaii, now it’s official. Filming will be on the island of Oahu however the exact location is not being revealed. Beach scene, anyone?
It’s official — “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will film in Hawaii.
The sequel to Lionsgate’s wildly popular “The Hunger Games” will film on Oahu sometime before the end of the year.
“For security reasons, logistics reasons, we don’t confirm specific locations,” she said.
Honolulu Film Commissioner Walea Constantinau also confirmed the movie would be filming on Oahu, but declined to disclose exact locations.
It was previously reported that “Catching Fire” would be filmed on Kauai, but a studio representative later said that wasn’t the case.
