Watch the Final Catching Fire Trailer

Here’s what we’ve been waiting all day for, guys!  The 3rd and final trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire debuted during the 5th inning of World Series Game 4 and it is packed full of new scenes, mostly arena-related.  I have to say, this is pretty intense, no clue how we will survive the entire film!

Third Catching Fire Trailer to Debut Tomorrow on FOX

Just a friendly reminder that the third trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will air TOMORROW on FOX during the fifth inning of World Series Game 4! Any thoughts on what new material we might see?

MTV’s Five Key Scenes From the Catching Fire Trailer

The folks at MTV, much like us, have watched the Catching Fire trailer over, and over, and over again! From the multiple viewings, they have selected five scenes to examine closer–a top five, so to speak.

Meet Finnick Odair
The first footage of Katniss’ biggest ally in the Quarter Quell arena was probably the most anticipated reveal. Unfortunately, all we saw was Finnick’s sly smile before the tribute parade. Fortunately, he was shirtless. Now that we’ve seen Sam Claflin’s toned torso, will the fervor that he’s not beefy or hot enough die down? Dude is strikingly attractive and physically imposing. What more do you want? We also saw several more returning tributes, whom Haymitch reminds Katniss are “experienced killers” and not just scared teenagers. That Katniss has some stiff competition is especially evident in the montage of the tributes all training in their high-tech facility.

Effie Trinket Empathizes
For the most part, the other Capitol residents don’t notice or care about what’s going on in the country around them. They’re blissfully unaware of President Snow’s political machinations surrounding the Games — and his quest to quiet the rebellion brewing underneath their noses. District 12 liaison Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) has clearly grown fond of the young competitors she ushered through the process the year before, and her worried, emotional look to Katniss when she realizes her victor will have to face death once again is telling: the Capitol employees tasked with carrying out Snow’s wishes can’t ignore what’s going on, and soon the rest of the idyllic city will realize the threat to their cushy way of life.

REMINDER: Catching Fire Trailer Premieres TOMORROW!

I admit it, this is probably one of the most unnecessary reminders ever.  A reminder implies that one has forgotten, and I doubt many (if any) of you have.  However, in less than 24 hours the full-length trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be here!!!! If you are having trouble remembering exactly when it debuts, Yahoo! Movies has a handy countdown for you!

Rumor: Catching Fire Trailer to Debut at Comic Con?

There’s a lot of speculation out there that the full-length, theatrical trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will make its grand debut at next month’s San Diego Comic Con, and we have to say this SDCC blog post helps fuel that rumor!

Catching Fire Teaser Poster Official

From the post:

  • There will be an exclusive trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire at Comic-Con this year, according to this tweet from Film Trailer editor Jake Thomas.

So if you click on that link, you will see the tweet no longer exists.  What does this mean?  Was it an erroneous tweet that should never have been tweeted OR was it an accurate one that was tweeted prematurely?  We may never know.   So please, keep this filed securely under RUMOR until we have confirmation.  Currently we have none, so until Lionsgate says it’s true, we shall believe it is not–though hope that it is!

Did You See the Catching Fire Teaser Trailer in Theaters?

As we previously reported, the Catching Fire teaser trailer is being played before showings of Iron Man 3.  While many theater-goers had the pleasure of watching the trailer on the big screen, many did not (myself included).  So we want to know:  Did you see the trailer in theaters?

If so, please tell us about you experience! And while we’ve heard of it being shown before Iron Man 3, did you happen to see it before another film?  We’d like to know this as well!
